Hi, I’m David Alfano, and The Ghost with the One Black Eye grew out of a family tradition with my son, Alessio. We would listen to the story in the mornings and then create new versions together at night until it became our own.

We live in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where Halloween is our favorite season — our neighbors decorate their homes, we go big with trick-or-treating, and we even started a Halloween-themed race, the Booooo-mfield 5K. Beyond storytelling, I co-founded Trials of Miles Racing, which organizes running events across the country. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Seton Hall University and was once a middle school math teacher before trading equations for adventures.
